3 Cinnamon Sugar Almonds

I mean, I'm not one to toot my own horn but TOOOT TOOOOOOOT.
Tonight I made our house smell like Christmas and The Polar Express and cuddling all in one recipe.

I made cinnamon sugar almonds and Sean snuck in some leisurely reading that he hasn't had time for.
I think he liked his book because I said, "Doesn't our house smell sooo good??!!" And he said, "huh?"

Cinnamon Sugar Almonds
2 1/2 cups of almonds
1 cup of sugar
1 T of cinnamon
1/4 cup of water

1. Put the sugar, cinnamon and water in a pan on medium high until the sugar no longer feels grainy when stirring. You should have a syrup looking mixture.
2. Pour in the almonds and just stir, stir, stir for about 10 minutes. This is really hard to do when you don't like sitting still for too long, like me. So I suggest listening to some Christmas music to distract you.

I did the math for you.
You can listen to Mariah Carey "All I Want for Christmas is You" 2.553 times
You can listen to "You're a Mean One Mr. Grinch" 3.4286 times
or you can listen to Justin Bieber's "Mistletoe" 3.1088 times.

The sugar will crystalize and that's when you know you're done.

3. Pour it on a piece of wax paper or aluminum foil to cool.

5. Put it in a mug so it looks like a cup of Christmas cheer.

So holly. So jolly. It's Christmastime y'all.
