1 Happy Sunday!

I read this quote a few weeks ago and it's been running through my mind over and over again. I love Abraham Lincoln. I love reading about him. I think he was a good, honest man and he was also a president during a very hard time. I love picturing him, running our country and realizing he had no where else to go but to God. I have really felt this before although I have never carried as deep of burdens and as much responsibility as Abraham Lincoln had to.

I have been humbled several times enough to realize that I have no where else to go. I will admit, I don't get answers to my prayers when I'm kneeling down and waiting.

I get answers when I'm going throughout my day and I get a feeling or an idea. I get answers when I'm serving God. I get answers to my prayers when I am helping others or working hard to create solutions. Sometimes the answer to my prayer was just a feeling of peace. Even though my answers don't come immediately when I'm praying, they come. I'm still learning to recognize that.

I KNOW we have a Heavenly Father who hears and answers our prayers and loves us more than we can comprehend. It might not always be immediately or in the way we pictured, but He will answer our prayers. His hand is in our lives and He will not let us fail. He loves us and He wants us to turn to him. He is our Father!

Happy Sunday!

  1. I totally loved this, Danielle! So very true! You are one of the fortunate ones who has discovered these truths while you are young. Interesting that Page said something in church yesterday, her testimony was she knew it was true but she didn't know how she knew it. I thought to myself, "It is in your every cell, once God has put it there." Then in RS the teacher gave a scripture which said, "I willl put it in your inward parts..." I thought that was all very cool when I put it all together in my mind.
