7 I'm So Awkward.....

Today we finished up our "time capsule" ornaments. All the kiddos wrote their five favorite memories from 2012 down and we stuck them inside.

I decided to take on way too much when I had them paint the boxes the ornaments went inside and create ribbons and pom poms for the outside.
I'm really good at knowing the capability of a 9 year old on a project before we work on it. I thought pom poms would be pretty simple for about 90% of them. I was 100% wrong. It was only easy for about 3%. Which left me creating ALL the pom poms. At one point, picture this, I have probably 18 of them all around me shoving their forks with yarn in my face asking me to help them. I was making pom poms at 800 miles per minute but the kids were kind of getting silly, as they do, while waiting. I felt something in my hair. Someone had stuck a clothes pin in it. I pulled it out. I kept pom pomming.

Fast forward 7 hours. I'm leaving Target. I walk out in the snow and go to put my hood on. Wait.... what's that? Oh, nbd. There's just a FORK in my hair.

I'm the freaking Little Mermaid.

For 7 hours, I'm the Little Mermaid.

I don't know what's more embarrassing, the fact that I had run about 5 errands after school with a fork dangling from my mane or the fact that it stuck there probably because it was so ratty.

I'm trying to untangle it and everyone's looking at me funny. Then I shoved it quickly into my pocket and started laughing except I was laughing alone so I had to get my phone out and act like I was reading a funny text.

Help!

Help.
