12 happy sunday

"Girls, Aim high, but do not aim so high that you totally miss the target. What really matters is that he will love you, that he will respect you, that he will honor you, that he will be absolutely true to you, that he will give you the freedom of expression and let you fly in the development of your own talents. He is not going to be perfect, but if he is kind and thoughtful, if he knows how to work and earn a living, if he is honest and full of faith, the chances are you will not go wrong, that you will be immensely happy...True love is not so much a matter of romance as it is a matter of anxious concern for the well-being of one's companion."
GORDON B. HINCKLEY

I was able to watch someone I love get married yesterday. I have never seen her happier. We have been best friends for 13 years now and our boy checklists have evolved a little bit through the years, thank goodness! (Her only requirements in 8th grade were that he had to like football and scratch her back..... raising the bar, people. We still laugh about that.)

Love my Alie Ba Ba.

(P.S. We almost peed our pants before walking down the aisle. Yes, we.)
I'm all about two good people finding each other! Happy Sunday.

  4. I'm curious what sparked this one. :) This is one of my favorites of his. A good reminder for us all, both male and female. We all need to lower our expectations. The view is much when we actually have other people around us. :) Love you!!

Rachel helped me set up a blog the other day. I am not very good at it but will hopefully get better with time! Looking forward to seeing you in a few short days now!

  8. I've learned from watching some of our young woman who are now gone leave the church because they said they would"flirt to convert"but it never happened. If we stay on the Mormon path to begin with It wont be as hard to get married to some one with the same values and temple goals.
