I have a habit that I should probably break in 2014. The habit only started in the middle of December 2013, so I really hope it's not that hard to kick.
It's called loving Chick-Fil-A nuggets so much that you think about them for a good chunk of the day. Oh whoops, I just drooled on my keyboard.
Sometimes I tell Sean, "If I don't get Chick-Fil-A in the next 30 minutes, I'm actually going to die." I mean, that's so over the top right?? And then I feel bad because Sean doesn't want me to die so we go to Chick-Fil-A but I also don't feel that bad because I love eating Chick-Fil-A so much.

I've never been much of a smoker and that actually means I've never smoked, but I'm wondering if this is what it feels like.
To prove how bad it's gotten, two Friday nights in a row, we went to Chick Fil A for date night, my choice. I mean, yikes. Out of all places I could've chosen.
It reminds me of a similar situation, years ago. My dad would sit us down and we had a conversation something like this:
Dad: Let's talk about where everyone would like to go for our family vacation this summer. If you could pick anywhere, where would it be?
Rachel and Danielle: Amish farm!
Dad: Yeah, but you can pick anywhere.......
Dad: Yeah, but you can pick anywhere.......
Rachel and Danielle: Oh my gosh, amish farms are so fun!

It's like, how bad do I want to get over my problem? Umm, not really that bad. I like my problem. I like it because it tastes good. I want someone to open a new Chick-Fil-A here so I can be first in line and get it free for a year.
Does anyone else have a problem they need to fix because their heart and life depend on it? Does anyone else have a problem that interferes with clever and innovative date nights? And while I'm at it, does anyone have a recipe for Chick-Fil-A nuggets so I can make them in bulk at home?
Every member in my family has a large love for Chick-fil-a, but no one tops my sis-in-law Jenny. She LOVES Chick-fil-a. She even worked for them in high school and still loves it. One opened up in their area a little over a year ago and Chris won husband of the year award by camping out there so Jenny could get the year's worth of free Chick-fil-a. True love right there. ;)

Their peppermint shake is awesome and they have a peach one in the summer, their cobb salad is amazing...even their complimentary mints excite me. I could go on and on.

DeleteOk. Our lives are oddly similar. Chick fil A has been HUGE part of my relationship with Ashton - we even got engaged while eating chick fil a in a park! I feel like we should be couple best friends. If only we didn't live so many states apart.
ReplyDeleteUGH! Totally! I always think about what the heck I was doing when I had so many cool people around in Provo and I was just watching shows and doing crafts at home. Should've totally taken better advantage of that. Oh well! You guys are great!
