Last week Leslie and I decided at 7pm on Friday night we were going to head to Arizona. So we did, for a little vacay. Of course we all know it wouldn't be a real vacation without bringing all your work along too. But it was fun. And we shopped our brains out.
I've been hanging out a lot with the Spence Meister. He's pretty good at the whole college thing, except he doesn't eat very well and so my mom's put the official responsibility on me to make sure he's getting all his fruits and veggies. And that's exactly why I made him and his roommate dozens of cookies yesterday(?)
Okay, so I'm going to tell you a secret. Last year was HARD. I was working 85 hour weeks. I was exhausted. I didn't want to be a weenie and whine about it on my blog but now that it's over I can say it: it was hard, hard, hard.
This year has been drastically easier already.
Por ejemplo, I got to school at 7:30 this morning and left at 4:30pm. FOUR FREAKIN THIRTY. That's an all time record.
I didn't know what to do with all this spare time on my hands, so I painted my nails and took a nap. WHOOPS. Now I will never sleep tonight. 
Our classroom is now running like a well oiled machine. Love that feeling.
Got a new student today and all my other kids helped her and explained to her how everything works in our classroom. Love that feeling too.
The personality of my class is totally different this year. Last year I had lots of funny, silly kids and this year I've got a lot of sweet kids. I'll take them either way.
Let's just hope things keep running as smoothly as they've been! It's been a cake-walk so far.

So many without these days and thank goodness you are a self starter and a go-getter! I am so proud of you, Danielle! Truly, you have accomplished a lot in a short period of time!
