Reasons you know i'm finally a 4th grade teacher:
I'm so incredibly OCD about my plan book and being organized. Oh wait, that's nothing new.
I sleep with my keys around my neck. Yes. I. Do.
I have a bobby pin (or possibly a paper clip) in my hair at all times. Ugh, I swore I'd never.
I already look flustered by 6:30am. The to-do list NEVER ENDS.
I hear, "Mrs. Stolworthy........" (they think i'm married) about 283742934982734 times a day.
Even when I go home, I hear little voices saying, "Mrs. Stolworthy....." over and over and over and over again in my head.
I dream about lesson plans. My sleep cannot even escape me.
Turns out, it's wonderful. This is what I'm supposed to be doing, but it is a ton ton ton of work.
31 kiddos.
Love 'em all.
Such an interesting post, Danielle! I hope I get to see your classroom while I am there! I am excited for you to be doing such an important job. The next generation is hope for the future and you are doing your part to give them hope! I KNOW you will do a good job but you are not completely in control. There is onely ONE who has full control. Seek his help and you will do so much better than if you tried to do it all by yourself! Love you and excited to see YOU!!!
ReplyDeleteOMG 31? they need more teachers out there!
ReplyDeleteI'm proud of you! you are a great teacher, i am suuuuure of it!
ReplyDeleteGood luck to you Danielle. I LOVE teaching 4th grade. I think I could hang in 4th for a long time. It is a LOT of work, but they are worth. Remember to work smart. You're going to be great.
